Sir James Munby, President of the Family Division of the High Court, is in favour of making divorce an administrative process instead of a court process as at present.  He told journalists today that he favoured a system which left the court with the power to make decisions about children and about the family finances on divorce but gave the process of dissolving a marriage to an official – the Registrar of Births, Marriages, Deaths and Divorce.  Interesting….
